How To Do Facial Massage: Step By Step Guide
Massaging is one of the most relaxing
experiences one can experience in their lifetime, and face massage is no
different. The face can be a tricky area to massage, and most people don’t see
any merit in face massages. Here’s a breakdown of face massages, and why
they’re a great idea.
Face massage involves using hands or tools to
massage the facial areas gently. It has several benefits, which include
increased blood circulation to the face, relaxation of facial muscles, and
increased facial glow. Here’s a breakdown of how to do a facial massage:
- Preparation:
Prepare by first washing your face. After that, pick some oil and before
applying oil, gently massage with dry hands. Get any hair out of the way,
which may obstruct.
- Step 1 -
Massaging your forehead. Use your knuckles to dig into the skin and move
in an upward direction. Start from the eyebrows and move to the hairline.
Repeat for about five times.
- Step 2 -
Massaging your eye area: Use your ring finger for this step. Gently make a
circular motion around each eye. Five times.
- Step 3 -
Massaging your cheeks: back to your knuckles, place them near the nose
bridge, and gently move towards the ear. Repeat for about five times for
each side.
- Step 4 -
Massaging your mouth area: Use your index and middle finger for this. Make
a V, and place it vertically over the mouth, such that your index finger
is above your upper lip while the middle finger is below the lower lip.
Press and pull towards the right and left in alternative repetitions.
- Step 5 -
Massaging your chin and neck: Place your full palm on your cheekbones,
commonly known as the jawline and press, and push in an upwards direction.
